Why did Momo change its LOGO?

Momo officials said that the change of LOGO was because Momo was “no longer just a social platform.” This marks the official upgrade of Momo from a purely location-based social platform to a pan-social and pan-entertainment platform.

The design team of 6 people lasted 4 months and revised more than 100 versions of the design draft. The new LOGO retains the familiar geographical location pin + speech bubble, and also retains a pair of eyes full of curiosity about the world.

What are the characteristics and meaning of the new LOGO

Momo officials said that Momo’s original logo was blue + white with a sense of technology, but now it has changed into a gradient color of red, yellow and blue, from cool blue to warm red, hoping to show the process of people slowly becoming familiar friends from strangers through Momo’s connection; and the colorful colors also represent Momo’s hope that users can record and show their colorful lives through videos. The gap in the lower right corner of the new logo is to show that Momo is an open platform, and everyone is welcome to come to Momo to create unlimited possibilities.
